RE: Anyone using the Harbour Freight Tire Changer?
I bought the tire changer just for the bead breaker. I do my tire change by hand on a piece of carpet using rim protectors and a couple of tire spoons. I can do it without marring up rims.
I looked at the MC attachment. To me, it looked like nothing more than a fancy wheel holder. I didn't really see how you could use it without messing up the finish on the wheels, so I skipped on getting it.

Yes, I have a Harbour Freight changer, but it won't prevent scratches by it's self. I protect the rim from the clamps with pieces of innertube cut to fit in the clamps, & use the "Mojo Bar" mount/demount bar. I tried the "Nomar" mount/demount, but found the mount end difficult to use. It's available at a discount if anyone wants to try it.

I used the Harbor Freight for a couple of years, not very effectively. You really can't change a tire by yourself with that stand unless you spoon it on, the lever bar just never worked for me and will scratch your rims. After seeing the NoMar stand demonstrated at a rally, I sold the Harbor Freight and spent the bucks on their standard model. Works just like advertized on my sport bike and Harley tires, I love it.
Expensive but worth it if you do much tire changing. I figure I'm saving enough to pay for it in a couple of years of tire changes.
