Mequir's Instant Detailer in the aerosol can plus microfiber towels - all from AutoZone or Wallyworld.

+1.... I carry some windex and use the small towels.
NEVER USE WINDEX!!!! Your windsheild will be etched by the ingrediants. Use something specificlly made for plastic.

As for cleaning on a road trip.. I carry some Harley Gloss, and clean each morning. If the bike gets really dirty, I go to a coin wash and wash it using LOW pressure only. then dry it off with Microfiber towels and ride on. I clean the windshield as needed with Novus.

its the ammonia in the windex thats harmful. they DO make a windex without ammonia.

but im with those tahtRIDE! clean the shield and take care of it when u r done with the trip or at your destination

A lot depends on mah mood, but generally speakin' ah kin only let 'er git so dirty, then ah can't stand it no more. Kinda lahk havin' a good-lookin' date wearin' dirty clothes, y'know? When that happens, self-service car wash (ah jest avoid sprayin' around the bearings) an' then a wipe-down w/micro fiber towels. Most hotels have old rag towels they'll gladly give ya if ya ask. Most times, the grit from the road dirt is way too abrasive ta risk cleanin' off with rags an' spray cleaner....

I use a Protect All Quick and Easy Wash. It was formulated for campers washing their rigs in canping areas. No rinsing needed. Just put a couple capfuls in a trash can and go to town and dry. (I do not use hotel towels cuz for the most part, they are pretty rough and leave swirls. I take a couple micro-fiber towels with me.) I also use Protect All polish. You can use the stuff on all parts of the scoot. It really makes the black inner fairing shine.

mine is a daily driver, it might get washed maybe once a month maybe not. anyway as long as the windshield and lights are clean the rest is getting dirty as soon as you hit the road.

In 40+ years I've had 1 N.A.S. (Notch Above Scuzz) motel deny me access to their used towels. (I *always* ask for their used throw aways so they won't get a bad impression of bikers) Other than that one time I use old hotel/motel towels & a trash can full of water. Give the bike a spounge bath in the parking lot & I'm good to go............
