Okay, for those who have installed the Ness BS on their 08 touring bike. I have seen conflicting answers as to the cylinder plate / throttle body plate staying in place or being removed. Does it stay on or come off for proper installation of the BS.

Your right. Went ahead with the install and determined that is does stay on. I purchased the chrome version and must say fit and finish were perfect. I know others have had problems with the install and it may have been because they removed the plate. I'm happy with mine. It's kind of ovious that the plate stays on once you place it on the throttle body. Just torque the bolts to spec and retorque after final fitting.
