Default Thinking about a single front rotor?

I been thinking about going with a 21in front wheel. If I do it, do I go with a single rotor? Are there any drawbacks to a single rotor? Do I need to go with a 6 piston brake then? Do you need to go with a larger diameter rotor? What do you do with the old mounts for the rotor you lose? Anything else?
thanks
Eric

You would definitely need to go with a 6 piston, but you'll still lose stopping power. Why not ditch both rotors and go with a 360 brake and not lose stopping power?

Did 360 get their issues resolved?

I'm running a 21" front with a single 13" rotor, 6 piston caliper.
I'd like to see the study that substantiates a quality 6 piston w/13" rotor has less stopping power than the stock setup.
A Heritage weighs about40 lbs. less than an Ultra...the Heritage runs 1 brake...you decide why?
My front brake will pitch you over the bars if you lock it down!
As for the extra caliper tabs, couple of options...live with em, grind em off.
I got a spare fork lower set (takeoffs)from my dealer at NO CHARGE and ground the tabs off, sent to chromer. It looks awesome. Blended right in.

I have a 6 piston HHI calpier and a 13 inch rotor. Lyndall pads. It stops WAY better then the dual disk setup ever did and is more controllable to me. I also would like to see the studies....

I'm running a 21" front, single 11" rotor, stock master cylinder, and a 6 piston Jaybrake caliper. Stops about as good as stock did, but the stock brakes leave something to be desired in my opinion. I'm thinking of changing to a 9/16" master cylinder and see how that does.

How much difference does the rotor size make? So if I go with a single rotor, as long as I get a six piston caliper I should be good?

No studies to supply, but all else being equal (pressure applied to the pad, pad material, and rotor surface come to mind)the brake system with the larger surface area to apply would provide more braking wouldn't it????
