Just curious as to what type helmet you guy's wear. I have a full face for those really cold day's, a 3/4 when I'm going on long trips with other ultra riders, so we can communicate, but generally I wear a half or novelty helmet around here, As of four years ago we were again required by law to wear helmets. Did a search and couldn't find another poll that covered this so I decided to give it a try..."D"

 

I didn't check any of the boxes because I would really have to check 3 of them. I have a full face modular, and a 3/4 helmet, I generally wear one of these when I ride with the wife so we can talk. When I'm alone I frequently just wear a dew-rag.

I do have a full face for cold weather. A 1/2 shell for warm days. Paid for a light weight DOT helmet yesterday and now I guess I'm wearin a novelty. (cause thats what a-holes sold me)
Got to watch what you get at them swap meets.

 

Half and 3/4.... half for nice riding weather. 3/4 with face shield for winter riding and touring with the wife so we can chat, but always carry the shorty for when we get where we were going..

 

1/2 carbon fiber.

 

I live in Florida so I don't wear a helmet while riding here but have a lightweight DOT Vegas XTS for when I do have to use one.

I have a full helmet with the front that flips up (so I don't have to take off my glasses), and a ridiculous carbon fiber that looks like an inverted bowl (which I wear anyway in hot weather). I'm very thankful we have a law that forces me to wear a helmet...I rode for the first 30 or so years without one, just can't figure out how I managed to survive all those motorcycle adventures while not wearing one...it's so reassuring to have SOME FRIGGIN' DESK JOCKEY BUREAUCRAT DECIDE THAT HE KNOWS WHAT'S BEST FOR MOTORCYCLE RIDERS...f**ker.

What's next? A law requiring all coffee drinkers to wear gloves in case they spill hot coffee on their hands?
