I Tboned a deer and went down at 50 mph wearing a 1/2 helmet. I did the ragdoll down the road for 50 yards. No damage to my head or face at all. I was extremely lucky and definitely believe that I was the exception and not the rule.
Novelty most of the time if i am in a helmet law state. None when i don't have to and full face when it's really cold. And i have found that the best way for me to protect my ears is to use dr ear medicated wax thingies. Ear plugs are a real pain in the ear.

May to October, 1/2 Carbon Fiber. In between that, Modular FF. Thinking serious about going Modular year round, but in the mountains and twisties, there's so much more to see, smell and feel with just the 1/2, or nothing at all!!
