I want another1/2 shell, but I want it to be as small and light as possible and still be DOT certified.
Most helmet manufacturers including Aria recommed replacing a helmet every 3 years because the shock absorbing foam inside the helmet looses its shock absorbing properties over time. In normally do it about once every 3-5 years.

What kind of helmet do you wear? What's your age? What's your occupation?
WTF?

I've got a couple of half-shells. I don't have a novelty helmet yet, but probably will get one this year.

Way back in the 60's, I had a surplus Air Force pilot's helmet. Like the fighter pilots wore. Definitely not DOT or Snell approved, lol. Wish I still had that one.

For really cold days or if it starts to rain, I have a SHOEI Multi-Tec with J&M Performance Series headset/lower cord for audio & comms.

For other days when riding with people that use comms, I wear my SHOEI RJ-Platinum R with J&M Performance Series headset/lower cord.

For days when I'm just out and about on my own, I have a Vega Carbon-Fiber 1/2 helmet.

Options are great and I've got one to cover any situation!

FF, it all depends on whether or not you want to keep your chin and teeth in case a "faceplant" should happen?
