Default Great Ride Destination - "High Tides" in Flagler Beach

Good afternoon all,

I trailered the SG down from cold and slushy MN to beautiful Ormond Beach, FLfor a week of warm-up and riding and wanted to pass-on my favorite ride destination. You Daytona Beach folksmust be fairly familiar with it.

The restaurant is called "High Tides". The food (burgers & incredible fish sandwiches) is great. Very casual beach-shack just up from the shore. Cool juke box and "buckets of beer".

Good bike parking out front. While its basically sand, the valetguysout-front will thrown you a wood square for the kick-stand.

Going back at least a few more times this week before returning to the perma-frost.

It is located 15 miles or so North of Granada on A1A (gorgeous ride along the coast) in Flagler Beach, FL.

Enjoy!

If you are in that area and like prime rib go to Martins Steak House there on Flagler Beach. The prime rib they bring you is HUGE and very inexpensive.

You are thinking of Finnigans. Flagler County is home, great beach rides on A-1-A. Ride the Loop while you are here.

Long as we're promotin' Flagler restaurants, don't forget Fisherman's Net! 'Bout a block south of the pier in Flagler Beach, & a great place for a full sit down seafood dinner!

Year 'round ridin', prime rib, great seafood, second floor open air bars with a great view of the ocean.............This place is *SO* difficult to live in........

The wife and I are planning on going to the FL state park at Flaglers Beach for vacation the last week in July. Made reservations last week. Camping out for 3 or 4 nights there. We will surely hit these restaurants.

Haven't stayed at the state park on Flagler Beach but have stayed at Tomoka State Park near Ormond Beach and I think it is a little nicer than the one at Flagler. Very peaceful woodsy setting with nice bath houses. You might want to check them out too.
