Default Another elcheapo Home Depot mod

I was down at my mother's house fixing her disposal and found an old wind chime in the basement that uses the anodized aluminum tubes. So I took it and thought hey, shifter covers since I had removed my heel shifter! I then went into my shed and grabbed an old hose that I had that would be perfect and started cutting that up. I took one piece of aluminum, taped it up so the cutter wouldn't hurt it and cut it with a tubing cutter to the size I needed. Slid the hose inside the tubing and installed it and voila!

Yea but I didn't like the cap because I like to have my shifter moved out instead of inside.

Ahhhh, thats cool then. I like mine on the inside, gives me foot room and I think it causes less stress on the shaft. Never the less, its a great inexpensive mod.

Used to have it on EVO's. I put it on my 04 and this one too. Shoot a dab of grease in there to keep shifter smooth

Actually I guess you could say stock because I removed it from the steering neck and installed a 45 degree grease zerk there to make it easier to grease that and then took the stock one and put it on my shifter sleeve in the primary
