If no water, what's the best stuff to use? Anyone use "Prowler" spray on wash/wax? Also, how dirty is "too dirty" to use a waterless wash?

I personally do not use those spray washes and detailers. I always use water to clean. It is the best way to rinse off the dust, dirt and particles that would cause scratches if mixed with a spray and rubbed around. Even if I'm not washing it I still will give it a quick rinse with water to get the dust from the garage off.

I used water on major washes as well and a California Duster in between.

The only time my ultra sees water occurs when the dealer services the bike. They always wash it. I personally use Wash & Wax. A product made by Motul. Also use Plexus for the windshield. Great stuff when you are away from home and touring for a day, week or more.

My bike has never seen water unless I was caught in the rain. I use a spray product called Protect All...http://www.protectall.com/pawaxlg.htm

I have never touched my bike for the wash cycle. Use a foam gun let sit for a while, then rinse with a pressure washer/soap wand attached. Wand lowers pressure ( you can put your hand in front of wand) then use a small amount of jet dry in gal of water in place of soap. When finished washing dry with leaf blower.

what, you afraid it will shrink? I wash mine all the time, use a leaf blower to dry it off. it's a freakin vehicle, not the hope diamond.

I use the Mr, Clean Auto dry. I used to use Pledge, but have been trying Meguirs spray wax and Quick Detail.

I agree, the Motul is great stuff! I have also used S100, but it leaves build up after repeated use. Since we arein a drought here in Ga, we are not allowed to wash vehicles at home. These products come in handy. I was skeptical too, but you will not scratch your bike using this stuff. Unless it is covered in mudd.
