I give a light spray rinsewith water then spray oily areas down with simple green (50/50 dilute) then use warm water with some car wash soap and a micro fiber mitt and soap it all up then rinse with low pressure. Dry with a nice blower and touch up with micro fiber cloths.

I wash by rinsing with a light misting of water, flooding the dirt off the surface, instead of blasting, soap it down, and rinse it off the same way. Leaf blower to dry it, and maybe something like Harley Gloss to purty it up. Works fine.

hmmm...no water? While the bike is cool I spray thatSP100 or SF100something thats (suppose to be a degunker) on the greasy dirty spots and motor. Rinse with a regular hose with no pressure connection on it. Then I wet the whole bike down and have a pre filled bucket of luke warm water with a couple squirts of dishsoap and use that with a sponge and towel. After the rinse and it dries I apply the wax where necessary and the ****** Mag where needed.

If you just want to do a quick clean and shine to remove bugs and other assorted flying things, try Windex for Autos. It is ammonia free and works great especially on chrome. I have been using it for years after every ride...

Here in the heavily laden saltwater enviroment (Florida Keys)you have to wash/rinse your bike after rides and wash weekly or rust sets up in a matter of weeks. Every six months the bike get a heavy doseing ofcorrosion-x, sits for a day ortwo to "soak-in" then wash with Mr. Clean weelky followed by a blow-dry.

WTF - is this for real? The bikes are made to ride, yes even in the rain. Why would anyone use anything but soap and water to clean the things with?
THANK YOU! Mine needs a heavy hit with a sprayer from a hose. I ride it. Rain, shine or otherwise.

I wash it the same as I do everything else. Soap and water. I'm not too worried. If the paint starts to look like **** it's time for custom paint or a new bike

I figure if the paint is perfect my wife may not give me permission to buy the next one.

"Honey I need a new bike, the paint on this one has a swirl mark in it."
