Where do you go to get the downloads for the SERT? I know for the PC you get them from powercommader.com.

The SERT comes with a bunch (rather limited though).... I'd like to know of a place too. Get me through to when I have it tuned on the dyno...

 

EVERYTHING YOU NEED IS ALREADY THERE. A DYNO CAN HELP YOU FINE TUNE IN WAYS THAT A POWER COMMANDER CANT.

 

HDWRENCH is working on maps for the SERT last I heard.

The Screaming Eagle Race Tuner allows direct access to the ECU programs and their modification. We are, in affect, creating custom calibrations for specific combinations (just like H-D reflash cartridges). The Race Tuner does, however include many SE calibrations in the map files to select from. These can then be modified or a completely new file created if the combination does not match the calibrations part description.


The Race Tuner provides a much higher level of tuning than any other device without replacing the ECU itself. Each cylinders fuel and ignition mapping is independently tuned, using three dimensions, resulting in a custom map that eliminates the possibility of one cylinder fighting or holding back the other.


This equals more horsepower with smooth linear drivability. In addition, warm up enrichment, idle speeds, IAC steps, rev limits, AFR offsets, injector sizing can be changed. To help in tuning or diagnostics, Race Tuner also features a data mode to collect and review sensor inputs or other data. Both of these can only be tuned accurately by using a Computer controlled load cell dyno with real time AFR monitoring.

 

Cheaper to have the bike dyno'ed than join HDMAPS.... Unless they happen to have the exact setup you have... $199 a month for a year? Or $69 a map? All the FLHTC also were suffixed by SE (Screaming Eagle) and I'm not sure if that actually means the FLHTCSE or just that you have installed SE parts... Mine is an FLHTC, SE pipes, 95 kit, cams, SE A/C, but none of them were close enough to risk the descriptions they gave... at least without more info...

The hdmaps.com guys came from a write up in one of the magizines I read a while ago. Apparantly they train techs on tuning on the dynos etc. and have developed maps (that they are proud of). I couldn't figure out why someone would use the site to purchase unless an indivdual was going to use the SERT like a PCIII without duno tuning, I thought it has single download for around $50. Maybe a try and see how you like it and get it dialed in even closer in the future on a dyno, but can't see why you would buy a monthly subscription unless you belong to engine mod of the week club...

 

dyno'd tuned is the best way to go you will have a custom map specifically for your bike..
