Default Off to the dealer for a Road King

Well...it's time. I have a FXDC, love it, upgraded it...but the King is for me. I will take an a**whippin on the trade, luckily I paid cash for TTL, had 6.25% financing and didn't go to crazy on the bling. Dealer is coming close to pay-off, reduced some of the b-s add-ons like shipping/freight and set-up. Out the door for $20K, zero down @ 7%. Bike had a couple of add ons...rider essential kit and some highway pegs. So I will be back at it for bars and pipes later this summer. Ahhh hell, it's only money right?

I looked for something used...but there was nothing out there.

I want to thank all who posted on this site...especially those who took the time to post a picture. It was an easy decision after seeing the great work and designs.

Looking forward to posting some pics once I get somethings upgraded!!

Gotta love the King!
I ride mine twice a week, and just installed a set of wide whites and lace wheels and it has never looked better.
They dont call it the King for nothing.

RoadKing's are nice !!! I would have to change the handlebars.
I guess that's a whole new can of worms now with this goofy new
throttle thing.

Thanks to all. Apologies--when I say I looked used, I meant used inventory at the dealership--I need a place to trade...not much interest in used Dyna's around here...bike was listed for weeks without a call.

My new bike is nice, love it. Will need new pipes for sure...thing sounds like a hoover vacuum machine compared to my old pipes.

I hate to dredge up about another long post about best slip on pipes...so I will fish around. Leaning toward the Rinehart's.

Congrats, great choice, I sold a Fatboy 06 and bought a RK 08 and love it. Best money I have spent was the Rinehart TD and HD Pro RaceTuner and SEAC. I love the sound and the look. All ind of other stuff added but those are the most noticeable and biggest expense, well worth it. Sergeant206
