Default stealth rack and solo seat

Wasn't thinking I would want a solo seat, so I bought the stealth luggage rack. Nowthinking a solo seat might look good, but not sure with the luggage rack. Anyone have any pics with a solo seat and stealth luggage rack.

Seriously considering going that route myself...but I wonder how much weight that luggage rack will support? I still need to be able to carry the luggage when the wife and I travel.

MChacon and I have similar set-ups with solo seats and Motherwell racks. The rack appears to be a good quality product but I've never considered it for its utility...just like the looks of the darn things.

Good luck.

The Motherwell rack is a good looking piece, but I didn't think it would hold much weight and it was too small to adequately support a duffle. I ended up with the HD Detachable Solo rack - it's not as attractive, but was more practical for my application.

If you look at the photos above, the chrome, U-shaped bar that the license plates are attached to is replaced with the stealth rack; bolts on to the fender struts with two bolts on each side--it could hardly be stronger given the mount and the rack itself.

I have the Stealth rack myself and agree with Harleyongman that the way the rack is mounted makes it very solid....

However given that the rack site just over the rear tail light I have to disagree that the finished look will be another like those with the Motherwell rack... With a Stealth installed you would have the the upper 1/2 or so of the rear finder visible. I just looked at mine and there would be about 8-10 inches of fender between the rack and the back of a solo seat.

(WTIW I decided against the solo seat based on the above)
