In my experience, air shocks have the ability to provide a smoother, more comfortable ride if they are properly set up. The key is having them pressurized to the correct psi for your weight/load.

Thank you. The book say u can go so high and I set them at 35 psi. Whcih i sunder the limit.

Think is, mine keep leaking and leaking. I brought them to HD's and 1 will not bother with it and the other thinks they fixed it about 3 weeks having my bike but it is not fixed. I do not want to bring it back to them. When I got the bike back, items were missing from it. Sheesh!

So I was thinking about the springs..........

Thank you!

proggressive 440's gave me a much better ride than the stock air shocks. i'm sure there are good air shocks out there but i don't think they come stock on HD...

Bro, 35psi is way to much, with that much air it'll feel like your riding on a hard tail. When ridingone up and no gear, IMO I'd recommended around 20psi. As far as leaking, mine and everyone I've rode with has an issue with their shocks leaking after a while, I suppose it's a HD thing. Hope this helps, Good Luck... "D"

Mine have never leaked or even lost air pressure, but I only ride with 4-8 pds. I just put my stock 13's back on after trying the Progressive 412's. The 412's were just too stiff for me and if I lowered the setting things would bottom out. After putting the stockers back on the ride seems much smoother and more comfortable, but now my bike looks like a stink bug as I lowered the front when I put on the 12" 412's! I want to try the Ultima 12" air shock, but can't seem to find much feedback on the ride quality.

I don't run any air in mine so dunno if they leak or not??
Harleykris, did you sell the 412's? How big of a person are you?
