I had the classic v&h classic slip on's with their true duals. They sounded good but wasn't that happy with them. I got a set of the older style se street performance slip on's. All I can say is I get a lot of attention now with the sound they produce. Deep, bassy, and loud. sounds like a Harley should.

Phurion nailed it. Its never going to happen with the newer bikes. They just arent built the same.

And what the hell is this with people thinking that stock exhaust sounds like Rineharts. This is the secound time I have heard this twice this week.

Somebody needs to take their ear plugs out.

I have a 2008 Street Glide , and I was wondering what i can do to give it that Harley sound? I had heard that there are new emission laws in the state of CA, is this true?
It's a FEDERAL LAW E.P.A. effect's ALL States\

And the Ol' HD Sound\s are gone since the ECM & Fuel Injection systems

I'm going to have to disagree with you Jonah, the stock exhausts are not equal to Rineharts.
Couldn't agree more. They're like night and day!

Well I had the rineharts on for 1 day and was dissapointed. I took the baffles out and installed the rinehart high performance baffles. Now that is what a Harley is supposed to sound like!

Checked my owners' manual...not sure of "the Harley sound" is installed as an option....think ya have to start it and restart (like rebooting a computer), then let it idle for three hours or so and check it from 1/4 mile away....prolly the only way to tell?

That sound with stock cams will never happen from my experience. I have SE211s in mine....Totally different nowlopingbeat out of a previous silksmooth stock cam 96. Maybe not the sound of a low idling shuvel...However absolutely Harley, and more radical sounding then itactually is!

I get lots of compliments on the sound of mine, and somepeople asking me why their Reinharts do not sound like mine. That said you can make some beautiful sounds with a twinkie! As pointed out a cam with some Duration, SERT, aircleanerand decentset of pipes will change it drastically this direction.

Go to your dealer and ask for the "pattycake" download. There are several different versions...I like the one potato, two potato, three potato, four....
