Broken Passenger Floorboard Bolts?

Broken Passenger Floorboard Bolts?
With 15K miles on my 07 Ultra, I have had the right passenger floorboard bolt break off twice. Both bolts appeared to have been cracked for a while and then broke in two. Riding solo the first time and found the second one while parked. Dealer says the grade 8 bolts may have cracked because of harmonics. Anyone else having problems? And no, my wife isn't even chunky, and she always gets on from the left. Stock 96" with K&N a/c and SE slipons.

RE: Broken Passenger Floorboard Bolts?
My left side passenger floorboard fell of riding down the road in Arkansas last October. Luckily a cop was following me & hit his lights and pulled me over otherwise I probably wouldn't have noticed it for another hundred miles when I stopped for gas. He even drove back & picked it up for me.
The dealer said they had four bikes in the shop within the last two weeks with the same problem. The service guy said it was over torqued at the factory which caused it to shear off. Before I left the dealer I had the pull the right floorboard off and re-torque it to factory specs.

RE: Broken Passenger Floorboard Bolts?
I was stopped at a stoplight last fall, heard a clunk and there was my right side floorboard on the ground. Same deal, bolt sheared off in the hole. Mine have been off and back on once (converted to solo, than back again) so it's not a factory f*** up. I rarely carry a passenger and when I do she's ~110 lbs so no overload.
