Default Stock mufflers?

Does anyone know, are stock SG mufflers louder than EG or ultra mufflers? I was out today and pulled up next to a SG and it sounded louder than my ultra, but it had stock looking mufflers.

Iwas told at the HDdealerthe 2008's are louder than previous years. This was do to a reduction in engine noise, sothey up the sound of the exhaust.

I heard they did that on 07's. I just put my stock mufflers back on because they sound so good. I got an alternatepair off EBay that I drilled, which sound great at idle, put sound like cherry bombs on an old pickup which I'm going fast.

The stock mufflers were redesigned in 2007, and are louder than previous years. I installed stock 2007 mufflers from a SG on my 2003 Ultra. Not loud but much improved quality of sound. So, I would try that first before drilling them out ... you may just like it.

I just installed a set of V&H Ovals onto V&H TD's. I still have the stock mufflers and am curious on the technique used to drill them out.
