Make sure you get a tender style charger not a trickle charger. The tender charges only when it senses a voltage drop, sometimes they are called float chargers. The trickle charger charges continuously until you shut it off, good for charging over night butyou might cook your battery if you forget to unhook it.

He's right. Don't call it a "trickle" charger because that's what you might get and it's not what you want.

I have 3 of the battery tenders, have been using them all winter long 24/7 without any problems. One is charging two 12v 850 cca tractor batteries in parellel, one is charging two 12 combine batteries in parellel, the othe is switched between my two bikes using the quick disconnectsI attached toboth bike's batteries. I might buy a 4th tender so I don't need to swap the bikes around so much.. I can say they don't over charge and when the little charging lite goes from red to green, you are good to go.

I have 3 of them that I picked up at Walmart...........under $20 each and work like a charm. They are located with the batteries in the automotive section, cheapest and best ones I've found.

I also have a Schumacher tender and while I picked it up a TSC I also picked up a couple of extra plugs for it so I can use the same charger on my 68 Skylark, my Harley and my riding mower. 1 charger works on all three power units. [sm=goodidea.gif]
