Summer fuel blends? Are they out yet?

Summer fuel blends? Are they out yet?
On Thursday and the past couple tanks since then i've just noticed that my bike is now miraculously gettig 5 or 6 mpg's better mileage than it has since last fall when it dropped that many mpg's in late October I believe.
I remember last fall on the weekend of the time change my mpg's took a big dump and assumed it was from the winter fuel blends being introduced. Now suddenly (THE WEEKEND OF THE TIME CHANGE AGAIN - COINCIDENCE??) my mpg's just jumped up markedly and I'm wondering if it's the fuel blend changing with warmer weather here in So Cal.
Does anyone know if this change has been made of fuels? I imagine it could vary from state to state or region to region, but it's very obvious something has happened. The time change theory may just be coincidence though.
Any thoughts? Anyone else notice this? Gotta love those idiots at the EPA...

Hey, just be glad that at $3 plus a gallon that your fuel mileage is no going down again...
Whats gets my panties in a bunch is some dip on the tube a week or 2 ago stated that the cost of gas will be going up shortly because of the "summer blend"... What a crock. I have always understood that the winter blends cost more because of the additional aditives.
Most people actually believe the **** the media tells us... Here come the North American Union...

Last I checked there are 37 different blends for the country, I stopped counting when there was only 9. Sad state of affairs, the numerous blends wrecks havoc with supply, costs everyone a lot more, they should just pick one and make it the standard, be a lot easier and probably cheaper.

Well, I just got back from a trip down to Phoenix. I bought gas in Boulder City, NV, got 47.5 mpg. Bought gas in Mesa, got 34.1mpg. Bought gas in Wickenburg, got 41.1mph Bought gas in Kingman, got 42.2. I don't see any difference in mileage from Utah, Nevada, or Arizona. The high and low mileages were with winds involved.
I thought I heard the EFI's compensate for octane variances along with ambient air temperatures and altitude.
