I am looking for a little more support but without moving me forward. I like the way you can stretch out on the RG and it helps for us 6' footers. For those of you who have gone with the sundowner what are your experiences. The stock seat is pretty good for me but I want more comfort and I get some serious but burn on the stocker.

I put a Sundowner on my RKC and found it made a big difference. I like the seat on the "08 but it won't fit on my '07. I am also thinking about a Mustang and would appreciate input on that seat as well.

John: I took the Sundowner off of my '05 Road King Classic and made a one-time modification to the pan so it would fit on my '08 Road Glide. I loved the Sundowner on the RKC. It is not the same seat on the RG. The RG sits about 1/2 to 3/4 of an inch higher than the RKC does. The Sundowner was just too much seat for me on the RG. I returned to the OEM RG seat and like that better. I am all but 6' but with short legs. [:'(] I now wish that I hadn't made the mod to the RKC Sundowner because I can't reverse the process and return it to the RKC. The '05 RKC now has its original OEM seat and will be sold that way................ BC

 

I put a modified sundowner on my RG and really like it. I had the seat lowered and had hospital grade memory foam added. I had the work done by one of our sponsers ... Mean City Cycles. They did a great job and the turn around time was PDQ.
