I put one on my 08 Street Glide no prob. Did not know it was not supposed to work. I didn't install the spring thingy either and it works just fine. Sometimes ignorance really is bliss.

Same on my 08 Ultra. Didn't install the spring. Works just fine.

For some reason, it doesn't seem to work on the Electra Glides. Don't know why. Street Glide has a "custom" console, so maybe that's the difference.

I just installed mine the other day it took 5min to do.I got mine at local dealer.

2 friends of mine, one w/ 08 SG & one w/ 08 RG, both have installed & say they work fine. Mine works fine on 07 SG!!

It says up to '07,
but it just may not be updated yet to include the '08s
The 2008 H-D catologpage 486, "C,D & E" are upto '07 as well

The new 6 gallon tanks may have change more than just fuel capacity.
