Default 2000 road king classic front motor mount

I recently purchased a very nice 2000 road king classic and I just love the bike but there seems to be alot of mirror and windshield vibration especially at idle but also when going down the road and backing off the throttle. Was just wondering if there was anyway to reduce some of this front end vibration. Thanks for any help or advice.

check to make sure the bolt thru the front mount is not over tightened. i thought mine was loose and tightened it and got excessive vibration, loosened it and the vibration went away. i just turned the nut till it touched the frame.

A vibration at idle is normal you have a rubber mounted engine... It will shake your mirrors & windshield
Excessive? Check your motor mounts...

So how tight should it be? And you are talking the bolt through the rubber mount, right? What about the the stablizer that moves the engine left or right?

OK I checked the bolt that runs down through the front motor mount and it was really tight so I removed it and checked the rubber mount and all looks ok but how tight do I tighten it back up? Thanks for any help.

Not sure what the manual calls for - just use your judgement. As for the stabilizer, that affects the alignment of the frame, don't touch it.
