Default Long term use of Pingle wheel spacer

Anyone that has been using the larger 04 up rear tire on a 03 down for long term please drop a line on any problems Ijust picked up a set of stock 05 RK mags for my o2 E Glide . Just wanted to be rid of the spokes that came with it before putting on a new set of skins . The wheels came with tiresw 600 mi .. I 'm looking at these tires and think I'd be a foolto replace that new rear with the smaller 02 size .During my search for wheels I've come across post here and other fourms about using a pingle wheel spacer . I wrote to pingle who assures me that 1000s were sold w/no problems . At local HD I'm told not to consider it as I will be eating belts ( I paid for one on the road once and it will put a large hole in your credit card)Any one put 30000 or so with the spacer have any comment ?? i ride one up( light wt at 185) ave 70 mi per dayjust to work and backplus any play time I get ,so I'll get 15 to 20 a yr depending on weather. Please comment on the upgrade??? Is It that Bad ???Thank You Seamoose

Have a look over at VTF under wheels, tires, etc. I asked about it over there and a guy that had one responded. You might be able to get more info from him.

I've had the Pingel spacer on my '03 ultra for past two years. No issues or problems. Pingel knows what they are doing.

Thanks , Thats what I wanted to hear . I 'm going to order one . I like the thought of the wider tire on the rear . Thank You Frank T
