08 Sundowner Solo
What a drag, no Sundowner solo seats to fit the 08's. After back surgery in 05, the Sundowner solo seat on my 97 RK had the best fit and comfort of any seat I tried. Believe me I tried them all, Mustang, Corbin, Danny Gray and other HD touring seats.
I recently bought a 08 RG and was disappointed to find that they aren't making the solo for the 08's. I sent my stock seat off to Mean City Cycles for modifications and hopefully that will do the trick. Still looking for a good solo seatthough. I hear the new Corbin soloseats with the new stitch patternare more comfortable. Can anyone verify this ? The last one I had felt like sitting on a 2x4. Yeah, I know,ride em for 100,000 miles and they get comfortable.
Love the Roadglide. What a difference in motorcycle technology 11 years makes. I went from a 97 Road King to the 08 Road Glide.Still have the 97.The 97 now feels like a real antique when I ride it.Unbelievable.
For now, the only things I'm changing on the RG are the handlebars and seat.Actually like the sound,looks and power of the stock pipes. Quiet is good.Fuel mileage is good.
When the hotter weather comes, I'll have to do something about the heat coming off of that engine. I know that.
Excuse me, I'm rambling.....Thanks to the forum. You guys have helped me allot.

Danny Gray makes a nice solo seat for the 08 RG. Most all places I looked were quoting the Drag Specialties Price of 319.00. I found this deal at Warehouse Direct:
