Default Need detail on switch wiring 08 SG

I am working on installing my engine guard lights (68913-98B).

I have a coupleconnectionquestions.
From the other threads I found and from tinkering around on the bike, I am ok running the wires under the tank, grounds, wiring through the bars, etc.

I want toeliminate the provided button switch and use the accessory plug under the seat so that the lights are powered when I turn on the dash acc switch:

1. Do I cut off on both sides oftheswitch and connect those together, whichbasically lengthens the red wire coming out?

2. Do I then connect that red wireinto the acc pin of the acc plug under the seat?

3. This will allow the stock dash acc switch to power the lights?

Thanks guys.

Not sure what you are asking, exactly, but here goes: The ACC switch on the panel controls power to the receptacle under the seat (in front of the battery). You can take power from there to operate lights.
