Bike down this morning--- Fatal---
I saw a sobering unpleasant sight this morning on the way to work, several Police rigs at the scene of a accident with a body covered in a white sheet and a wrecked Road King. It looked like a single vehicle accident on a 3 lane wide road and did not appear to be a hi speed accident. It sure gave me pause to think especially as the bike was like mine and even the same Smokey Gold color. I hope it was a retired 85 year old who lived a happy life and had a heart attack while riding his beloved Harley. It was in Folsom Ca. If anyone knows this person my deepest sympathies to you. Everyone who reads this may you always be safe with the ruber side down always.Bigheadted.

Hat's off to the poor guy, but don't let looks fool you.
Many bike wrecks look like 'single vehicle' accidents because the cager leaves the scene after forcing rider off road or bumping him while changing lanes.
usually the bike is so banged up investigators can't determine it was bumped by another vehicle....plus many cops and emt's assume bikes are accidents waiting to happen.

Well I am certainly no accident expert at all and will not dispute anything, all I saw was a bike down and deceased fellow rider, for what ever the cause of the accident he is gone and I felt compelled to post something here, may he or sherest in peace.

Not trying to challenge your post bighead, or diss the dead, just citing how often us riders are blamed for what appears to be 'operator error'.....We're laying there dead or seriously injured while the perp escapes.....many times it's an unleased dog or wild deer or piece of road debris that gets kicked to the ditch and no one notices.
Bottom line is it's a sad day for rider and his family
All of you ride safe and watch for the dangers!

Folsom cycle crash fatal to EDH woman
A motorcyclist died Wednesday morning in Folsom when her cycle struck a center strip on Iron Point Road.
Suffering head trauma and pronounced dead at the scene was Carol Amark, 49, of El Dorado Hills. The crash occurred around 6:57 a.m. while Amark was eastbound on Iron Point at Cavitt Drive. Sunlight glare might have been a factor in the crash, Folsom police said.
"We don't know how many times she struck the median and the street, but there are several gouge and scrape marks spread over about 123 feet," said Officer Michelle Beattie.
The speed limit is 45 mph on Iron Point Road at Cavitt. Investigators are trying to determine how much a factor speed was in the crash, Beattie said. Amark was riding a 2004 Harley-Davidson motorcycle.
Investigators are asking anyone with any information about the incident to call 565[/align]
