Adjustable, on the bike all day having the flexbility to adjust it back or forward comes in handy.

i got the adjustable and like the ability to move around but........... i dont care for the fit and if u ride 2 up alot with a big wifeythe pad is cut too big and bothers the inside of her knees

Standard here, although I did have to modify it a bit. You'll probably find that it pushes you too far forward.

I got the adjustable one on my '07 Ultra and like it fine, except for it being about twice as thick as the basic, which only matters when you're riding 2-up.

I got the standard, once I got it adjusted for me... I have no reason to adjust it.

I'm thinking if I get my Street Glide I will put a Mustang backreston the stock seat.
It's adjustable on the go and a little smaller n size.

I am very satisfied with the standard (non-adjustable) backrest. As I recall, the adjustment mechanism on the adjustable version interferes with the heat deflection shields (if you have them).

Nope! doesn't interfere with the heat deflectors. I have both on mine, just have to reach a little further to get at the adjustment lever.
