Still looking for a set of pipes with a little bit of rumble that won't make my ears ring after a long run; would like to hear opinions from those who have heard or own these pipes.

 

You can go to epiflex.com and hear the Rush pipes with the baffle size of your choice. There is also a video on youtube of a dyno run with the fuel moto setup. I think that's the route I am going for exhaust.

 

I have the SE's and like them, but sound is subjectve and you need to hear them for yourself....

Subjective is true. I love my Rush with the 1.75s. They have gotten louder since I got them. I wear hear protection, always, so that is not an issue for me. They have a nice sound when cruising and bark nicely when opened. The upgrade is supposed to be less harsh and a little more powerful. Maybe worth it if you are starting from scratch but I don't think I will spend the $100 plus shipping for the extra 4 hp and 7 tq (?). (the baffle cost if you already own the mufflers) I am happy now.

 

I just put SE performance slip ons on my 07 RK. I also added SE heavy breather and IDS. I couldnt be happier. Bike sounds and runs good. But sound is subjective.

 

Fuelmoto/Rush not too loud but definitely not too quiet. I get the warning chirp on car alarms but haven't set one off yet. The glass pack sound is a low classic sound. I even like the rumble made by the occasional decel backfire. Decent thump at idle, wicked snarl on the gas and I can still hear the radio cruisin. And it pulls hard!

 

Fuelmoto set up. Supertrapp SE, K&N and PCIII.Nice sound, loud enough for me. Go to your local dealer on a weekend or ride night and walk around and listen to the bikes.

I have Rinehart True Duals on mine, look nice and clean.
It has a deep rumble sound and it wont make your ears ring...
