Default Hawg-Wired speakers

Is Hawg-Wired the only way to go? I currently have installed J&M High performance fairing speakers. Part#HRUS-98GT. I also have installed Rinehart Tru Duals. Any speed above 65 I cannot hear anything except garbled, distorted music and no vocals. Are there more options?

I have the same problem with Hog tunes and rush 2 inch mufflers. I think the only answer is a good amp.

Go with Hawg-wired amp & speakers. Very happy with mine! Can do over 100mph and still hear music clear as I was doing 15mph. You wont believe the difference.

I just bought a set of Hogtunes speakers a couple of weeks ago. While they are better that stock they still aren't where I want to be. Guess I'm going to have to look at Hawg wired too.

Agree with THNDR, Amp is the way to go for high end performance.

I have a tall windshield also. I think the problem is I listen to a lot of music, mainly through headphones so as far as sound quality goes I got spoiled.I know it is impossible to match that sound on a motorcycle but the problem is with the sound the way it is, the louder it gets with the 40 watt system the lower the quality of sound, it actually starts to sound thin and hollow. I think the only way I'm going to be satisfied is to go amped, possibley at leats 100 watts

An added set of tweets might give you some more highs... did it on m RG and it seemed to work pretty good.
