WOOD'YS TWIN CAM EFI SUPERCHARGER

RE: WOOD'YS TWIN CAM EFI SUPERCHARGER
I would be interested in a group buy on a blower for my HD.
But I've been looking at the ProCharger system for my EFI HD. They are a blower company that has been around a long time and a proven track record in the auto field. Their kit also comes with an ait to air intercooler which helps pull the heat out of the incoming air charge
There was a nice write up in the Nov 06 issue of Hot Bike

Maybe we can do group purchase on these and get a dynamite deal from WOODY. I have not seen a cooler part for an EFI HARLEY, period. Who's in???[sm=badbadbad.gif][sm=goodidea.gif]

Well the dealer price is $3995 with the purchase of 2 units so I think we may have a shot at it. Just dont tell my fiance that I'm buying it instead of saving for the wedding.

Hey, at $3995 it's almost a steal... Moderators! Can't you work some deal to get these guys to agree to some sort of HDFORUMS volume discount? Looks like we'd be able to get even lower....
Like to hear more about that other blower though. Ya' know... before we **** off the old ladies by buying one (oh yeah, don't have an old lady).
Might as well get a blower then.... (build your own joke here).

I plan on seeing the Woody's Blower in Daytona. I'll take pictures and post them with a report when I get back.
I am planning to instal the chrome blower. But, it won't be before July. I may even ride out to Co. and have the man install and set it up himself.
It was because of the blower that I recently went with Rinehart Tru-Duals. According to Woody, the blower is a perfect fit with the rineharts. Most of the other pipes have to be slightly modified.
One of the other things that I have found out is, you have to have the chain driven cams. at least at this time the blower won't work with the gear driven cams. So as you can guess, my cams are still chain driven.
But on a similar note: upon replacement of the chains and tension shoes. I found the rear shoe was toast at 40k. Right down to metal. I'm glad I got to it now, it was a problem just waiting to happen.
Now that would have been a major upset if it had bit the dust durring Daytona.

Bountyhunter and myself have exchanged a couple pm's about this blower thread. He made a few good points, and I hope he understands the points I made.
Compressing air, heats the air. Hot air doesn't make hp, no matter how you cut it. Your money ahead if you cool the incoming compressed air charge. Especially if you want to run the boost up.
Believe me, I've spent a ton of money compressing air into a v-8 to make power.
Same science, just on a smaller scale.
