Harley, the Government, both or someone (ie oil companies) should be giving you guys free gas, insurance or some other big break in appreciation for the fine work your doing.

Thank You.

One thing that does burn my butt a little.

HD makes military covers (derby, gas cap, air cleaner etc)
I understand they are in business to make money and things are not cheap BUT have you seen the price of those things?
You can't tell me they couldn't give those things to returning vets at 1/2 cost if not free when they buy a bike.
It just seems exploitive to me some how that they cost more then others in a time of war.

I'd say you are getting about a10% break.
Do it! and get the ABS option.
You'll absolutely love the Ultra.

I bought mine through Military Car Sales and paid 18,985 with ABS while I was deployed, work the sales rep a little harder and make him pay your down payment ($300). They have extra incentives out there they can use if they want to. Check with your state where you will register the bike, Florida passed a newlaw for Soldiers recently and if you are stationed outside the state they will waive the Tax, Title , and License fees. I wouldn't bank on any dealer in the states giving you the bike for the same price asCar Sales will (18,985). Harley Sales will have to fall off the map to have them do that.

I would think its a buyers market at the dealership right now, lots of bikes sitting around and a slowing economy.

I bought my '02 Ultra while in the Army and never regretted it. It is a great bike, I got it at a good price, and it was waiting at the dealer when I got home.

The PX program only gets certain colors, options, etc, but they are the bikes people are most likely to want, anyway. I am still very happy with my '02 but, of course, everyone knows '02 is the best year . Good luck on your deployment and your bike selection.
