RE: just another e-bay rant
I bought some classic sadle bag rails for my hardbags on eBay last month......Got them from theExile Motorsports eBay store.
They arrived new, but noticed crappy chrome and cheap Chinese box......I informed HD that he was selling unathorized copies and they contacted eBay where he then took all his fake HD stuff off eBay.

You know, they have removed the seller retalliation factor from leaving Negative feedback. Remind the seller of this when you contact them. Chances are they are not going to want poor feedback when they cant leave negative feedback against you even though you did everything right.

I always pay for any ebay items with a credit card. That way if the seller refuses to do what's right, you can dispute the charge and get your money back. Filing a complaint withebay or paypal doesn't guarantee that you will get the problem resolved. If your credit card company puts a hold on your payment, the seller will make it right.

Buy quite a bit off EBay, but I always check the feedback and I read and look atwhat other buyers have bought. You can leave negative feedback and also rate the various levels. I agree I bet the holes are for the saddlebag support rails. I have also bought from dealers and seen some pretty bad stuff that come from the factory and had to return it.

Rule #1...look at sellers feedback
Rule #2...get EXACT shipping charges BEFORE bidding
Rule #3...ask MANY questions and save ALL REPLIES
Rule #4...get a PayPal line of credit...they will refund your money faster than a regular CC
