What is SERT?
Have 06 RK and would like to add slip-ons at 1k. Anything else that should be done at that time?air filter,k&n etc.etc
Thanks

Screamin Eagle Race Tuner..device which allows the bike to be fine tuned..air/fuel mixtures to optimize performance.

Used with after market exhaust and air filters.

After reading other post, most recommend the slip-ons or true duals, SERT and air filter. That will give you better performance at the cheapest cost. Should have the bike dyno'd for best results.

Ditto Above! some also use a PCIII instead of the SERT.

Make sure to have the bike dyno tuned and do not go with the HD download.

Congrats on the new ride and Welcome to the Forum!

Being a bagger guy, and having the crossover between the pipes, why does everyone seem to think true duals are a good thing? I assume that means actually having a separate pipe for each cylinder, but all the expert tuners I've read about say they can get more juice out of 2 into 1's than any sort of separate setup. Not having dynoed the differences, I'm not sure, but I do read a lot. I'm not even sure a crossover is necessarily different than true duals, if it's just a semantics things.

The bikes I've read about are the ones that usually have both pipes on the same side anyway (Dynas, Softtails, Sportsters, etc), so maybe this doesn't even apply to the baggers...
