Default Gear drive s&s anybody?

I was talking to an indy today, and he recommended an s&s gear drive cam, 510 grind, for my 07 rkc. Is anyone running this setup, and if so how do you like it. Looking for better power and economy for two up riding. Currently have fatcat, k&n filter and pclll. Fatcat made lots of low rpm power, but I'm always looking to improve. Thanks in advance.

A good set of cams will really wake your bike up. Try the HQ cams, but I will warn you. Gear cams are a little noisy.

I have the Andrews 37 G cams, fave me very nice low end power and can still handle some mild head work. I love mine, but I'm not looking for HP I can find, just good, smooth torque.

Just had S&S 585's installed - I don't think gear drives are that noisey. You do hear it, but it isn't that loud. I actually like the little wine I hear[8D]

Just finished the 26G's and the bike sounds and runs like a different machine. But the noise of the gears are noticeable at lower engine speeds. At least mine are.

good luck, and dont forget to pay close attention to your crankshaft play if you do decide on the gear drive.

I have had the 510 G cams in for 2 years now. I don't mind the gear noise at idle . No tensioners to worry about. It pulls good for a bagger.
