I finally got the RC Compenents RC Czar Eclipse wheels and matching rotors delivered and installed. I also installed the Race-Tech front end suspension system, lowered 1". Here are pics (apologies in advance for the quality):








My only concern with this change from the beginning was ride quality and as many of you know, I ran a pretty long survey with frankly mixed results, but a majority of riders claiming their bikes rode as good or better with the 21/18 set up from stock, with some other who felt there was some to a lot of ride degradation. Those folks however didn't comment, rather just voted. I'm very sensitive to how the bike rides and handles and I'm happy to say, whether it's because of the new Race Tech suspension and lowered 1" front end, or just what most of you knew all along, the bike rides great. I honestly haven't ridden it enough yet to say with no reservations, but I did do a 60 mile run last night at speeds up to 90 and it just got better and better. These tires track like on rails, and the ride is a nice firm smooth one. I love it...the looks, the ride, all but the wait

Next I'm going to swap out the fairing mounted mirrors for something cool in black. Powder coate the passenger footboards black and some kind of black variation on the bad latches. On the left side, a black variation of the primary cover and footboard. The verdict is out on which pipe and whether black or chrome.

I'm curious is the end result the same as far as ride height goes? I just bought a 2008 FLHX in denim blue and want to do the same thing to mine.

It seems the same to me with perhaps just a very small increase in height, but I don't think it's anything you would notice. I did the lower the front end 1" though.
