Thanks UW. They are Vance and Hines Basic Slip On's. They have a very nice mellow rumble. I didn't do any recalibration. I have read that there really isn't much of a difference at all in the readings, maybe 1-2 mph. Someone else said he checked and his was spot on with 21" wheels.

Glider - I'm not actually running any heat shields on my pipe. Bassani doesn't offer them in Black, and for the price they want for them, you'd think they were gold. This is my second one. The coating on the first pipe started to deteriorate almost immediately to the point it finally was down to bare metal on both headpipes from the head to about 8" below. Bassani warranteed it no questions asked, but it took about 10 weeks to get the replacement pipe. Because of that, I decided I wasn't going to take a chance and immediately sent the new pipe to HPC to have it coated in their satin black 1600 degree coating. They do a really nice job, and I'm sure I'm done messing with it.
As for sound and performance, Hogdoc pretty much summed it up. I will tell you it has what I call a growl to it. Most people I talk to say it doesn't sound like a traditional Harley, which is fine by me. That just means it doesn't sound like most everything else on the street. It's also a pipe that can grow with engine builds as I make them. I really love the performance, sound, and looks of it.
Here is a great sound clip of a Road Rage. This is from a fellow forum member, TGaetto. It's his bike which I believe was stock at the time. It gives a pretty good represenatation of that growl I mentioned. Check it out here.
Hope that helps.

Yep it was stock... I am sad that I let it go too. I now have a super trap for the tune of it I should post a clip and then you can see/hear the difference in all of the pipes I've had on the bike. I am a bit of a freak when it comes to pipes!
