Thanks BigZ....is the heat shield on your Road Rage a glossy black or matte? I haven't paid much attention to those pipes but I like the black with chrome tips. What can you tell me about performance and sound?

 

Glider I have the Road Rage on mine, but its a black muffler with silver head pipes. The sound is awsome not to loud at idle but when you open it up it sounds great, with a little rasp between shifts. Performance wise it is one of the best 2 into 1 pipes there is.

 

Doc...that looks very good! I'd like to see your whole bike actually. How did you do the chrome/black combo? Powder coat the muffler or can you order them that way?

 

No, I dont think you can order it that way.I bought it used from a guy that wanted a chrome one when he got it it had O2 sensor ports he didnt have plugs so he reused his black head pipes and covered them with the chrome heat shields. I like the look, I used to have blacked out Thundercones with the stock head pipes and heat shields. I dont have any good picts of the whole bike. I need to take some, Ive been holding off till I get all the things I want to do done.

Great lookin' ride! I would love to put those on my 08 RG since it has a mix of black, candy red sunglo and chrome. I think these wheels would look hot on my bike as well.

Question: What kind of mufflers are those and;
Did you have to recalibrate the speedo?
