I did something really funky on my 05 Ultra shifter too - to get that extra floorboard space on the left side.
Flipped the rear one to the front and changed the heads - underside is extended round peg - on topside is a flat peg. Works great.
Shifting is much easier and ALWAYS perfect due to the extra momentum of a "dual shaft shifter".
Anyone else try this???

So you have both arms in front? Sounds strange, but interesting at the same time.

I have Bubba's set-up installed and couldn't be happier. Well worth it, I think the price is more like $399 though.
I looked into the H-D set-up and initially it looks like an $80 deal, but you have to figure in the extended brake pedal, plus the cost of an extended shift lever (which H-D doesn't make) and you end up somewhere between $250-300.
I feel that Bubba's is the better product overall, and I wasn't concerned about the price difference.

The options available to you depend on exactly what you mean by "moving" your floorboards. Do you want to move them forward or outward? If outward, check out the link below. Only costs $40. I've got them on my bike and they made a huge difference. The stock floorboards are positioned much to close in to the bike - it takes constant pressure to keep your legs in on the boards.

I moved mine outward...only about 3/4 of an inch. I am 6'4" so I needed the extra room. Took off the heel shifter. Size 13 boots dont fit in between a heel-toe. I also put some real beefy pegs on the crash bar....HUGE improvement in comfort. To move the floorboards out...I used a hand made spacer and some allen head grade 8 stainless bolts....big difference.

For about 8 bucks in new grade 8 bolts (longer), some ½” or ¾” round spacers (your choice), some shiny black spray paint, a grinder, and some ¼ flat steel stock, make your own. Took me about two hours total time and I moved mine out ½”. Once the road grime and engine oil gets on it, no one will ever see it anyway. Comfort for cheap. Next project, refrigerated hard bags. (cold beer)
