My Uncle, who is 70 just decided he was too old to ride anymore. I asked him how hecame to that conclusion, he's reply, well youngfeller, when you come to a red light, stop, then forget to put your feet down then fall over its time to hang it up. []
I see getting too old to ride alot like getting too old to do the wild thing anymore............... for some it comes early in life and others never loose the ability no matter how long they have lived on this earth.
I want my life to end doing one or theother of these fine recreational activities.............. My wife has speciffic instructions to cremate what's left of me and mix the ashes in a gallon of Guiness. Then put the whole mess in a douche bottle and help me make one last pass.
I did a course with the NC SHP last summer. One of the other riders was in his late 80's on a BMW that was older then me. His wife was late 70's on her own bike.
I've run into quite a few riders in their 80's and a few in their early 90's. Caused me to develop a plan to still be riding at 100; that's 40 more years of great riding!! However, some of the last part might be on a trike, but it will be a cool trike!!!
