Some guys, I've cut off at the stump, but if he's really a good friend, stick with him. Good friends are hard to find. Hell, I'm 59 and run around with a buddy 77. We get into it all the time, but we don't hold grudges. Just remember, I'm speaking of good friends, not dirtbags. Just be careful when things calm down and hopefully they will.

 

You may not know it yet, and he might not appreciate it yet, but you may have saved the guys life, and maybe his wifes? Think of how things might have went had you not gone there and helped out in the matter. Good on you for doing what was right. Now you can sleep with his wife,if she's cute that is.

I lost a friend to drugs. Every time he got clean I would help anyway I could. Three times he has gotten arrested and used my name. He has stolen from me twice. I forgave him on his death bed. He had a miraculous recovery. He started using again shooting thru his dialasys jacks. I still think about him and pray for him. I however cannot bring myself to visit him in prison.
