I work for a credit card issuer and we don't appreciate it when merchants mistreat our customers.It is the responsibility of the merchant to clearly state their return policy in plain view. Having said that, the consumer also shares the burden of communication and should inquire as to the merchant'sreturn policies.

roxnatwist - I would talk to your issuer. You may have a legitimate dispute if Rossmeyer did not display their policies in plain view for all to see. Like 2003flhtci said, "Platinum" and cards requiring a "membership" come with extra perks. Use them. As a valued customer, you're CC company should go to bat for you. You paid for the merchandise with your credit card. Assuming you returned the merchandise with reciept and in original condition you should be entitled to have the funds credited to your account.

This entire situation could have been avoided had the poster priced this item through other sources prior to purchasing it at Rossmyer's. There's no issue of fitment or condition of the part, only the $30 difference in price.
