RE: Street Glide Invasion
I am part of the "Street Glide invasion" as some would call it. I think the popularity of this bike is very simple. It is a sleek and "sexy" bike that is a blank canvas to customize. It isa bagger that a younger person can feel cool on. The Road Glide is "okay" but I do not care for the fairing. The other HD tourers just seem to say "old". I don't mean that as a jab or put down. It is just to illustrate my point that the Street Glide is attracting younger buyers who previously wouldn't have been seen on a bagger. BTW, I'm 37.

RE: Street Glide Invasion
I have a street glide, and I love what people are doing with them now,But it is a touring bike ,and it's the new thing to change everything on them. What I find funny is the people who do so much to a touring bike , and them slap it on a trailer to go on a trip like bike week thats just sad.I've done a lot to mine but nothing that's going to stop me from a 8hour ride.I think it is a trend , and in the next year or so it will be gone , and people will be selling them for the next trend.

And that class, is why Harley Davidson makes so many different kinds of motorcycles.........something for everyone because everyone likes something different. So class, does that mean that if you don't ride a Road Glide you are wrong?? Well, actually that is a bad example.....never mind. Class dismissed!

Hint: Calling someone out for making what you perceive as a "stupid comment" then making one as equally stupid...
Yeh...stupid idea.
I was well informed when I bought mine, thank you. And I got it for a helluva price, and I've made it into a bike that is uniquely mine. I like it a helluva lot more than I did my 2000 Road King.
Act like a twit much?

I'll be honest with you about the Street Glides. I think there the lazy way out for guys that don't know any better.

The motor companytook a a bike they already made and used accessories they already had to make a bike close to what motorcyclists were already making themselves.
Like it or not.
That's what happened.
People made street glides (and better one's then the motor company) a lot longer then HD started to make them.
As far as being a twit (twit much)
I know! I don't think I know, I know I know more about this then you do.
So enjoy your bike I'm sure its very unique.
