Here is a direct plug-in to the cigarette lighter. It uses a RF signal but it works really well. My Stereo does not have an IPod input on the front so this is what I went with.

Actually, it fits a variety of applications. It is called a "transpod" I forget the manufacturer's name but I bought it at Best Buy. It should fit most IPods

 

Guys, promise I have searched and am not trying to hijack the thread but I need some help. I have a ipod compatible head unit in my standard. The built in Ipod chord comes out of the back of the unit, inside the batwing. I also have a fairing pouch. here is my dilemma. Radio and pouch are installed. The ipod chord has to come up behind the windshield and connects with the ipod in the fairing pouch. Chord is not thick but it aint thin either so the inner fairing and windshield are not flush anymore where the chord comes thru.

Any thoughts on how to get the innerfairing and winshield flush again?

I had the $4.99 mount for awhile.....all the while, knowing that while it might not have cost much, that it also LOOKED like it only cost $4.99. Eventually, I got tired of looking at that piece of velcro that was left behind when the Ipod wasn't mounted, and realized that it looked like crap.
