I don't ask if I can park in front of the office I just do. If they ahve a problem which they most likely will not they will say something. Don't block the drive through. I always pick a good motel/hotel. You can tell by the price and the area it is at. Lock it and get some sleep. I only cover in case of rain that night. If you see more bikes there then you are even better. They most likely leave the bike alone if there are several bikes there. Thieves know better than to pi** off several bikers at the same time.

Good advise, if you're worried about the bike you won't enjoy the ride..

Lock the bags, put the cover on and set the alarm.

Paid up insurance and a cover to keep the eyes off of it. I like the earlier suggestion of a Honda cover.

Usually park in the front of the entrance, set alarm and cover bike. Put about 40000 on the past couple of years and haven't had any problems. Just relax and enjoy the trip

Too much worry will take the fun out of the journey ... saddle up and enjoy. The locks and alarms just help eliminate temptation from the honest people -- someone who wants your stuff will get it regardless of what you do. Park close and well lit, and get some shut-eye.

I keep my insurance policy paid up, throw a ratty old, duct taped cover over my bike, activate the security system, and park close to the motel entrance.
