RE: comparisons honda and victory v harley
I just came over to the dark side from a victory. I took an ear beating here before deciding to trade up to the street glide and tried to talk myself out of it ( the pratical side, but what about bikes is practical) What dawned on me was why I was looking...... the victory didn't have a soul, didn't move me, no connection with it. Just get it or you don't. I'm in the northeast and its been sitting in my garage since Dec. 12, with the exception 99 miles on it a few warm afternoons. Now if I can stay off the forums and stop getting ideas and stop buying stuff before I can even ride her I might have some money left for a few trips this year.

You're not trusting the media, are you?
The GL1800 is a slick bike, sure enough. But only if you don't mind riding a bike with an aluminum frame that is proven to be VERY suseptible to fatigue failure. *shrug*
What those biker rags never say is that when you buy an Ultra, you'll never have to pay $600 for a CB radio...
