I thought I did everything right. Cut the holes, installed the light kit, remounted the tour-pak, plugged in the wiring harness to the connecter on the bike. The only problem is, I have proper function on one side and full time brake light on the other side. I don't get it. Any thoughts?

 

If you extended your wiring harness, you may have got mixed up on the ground and hot lead. Take it back apart and use small jumper wires to figure it out. One of the key things is to find the ground on the bike wire harness plug and run from there. It's only three wires.

 

THanks for the response. I didn't alter the wiring. I left the marker light pigtails unused and just connected the three prong plug on the light kit harness to the three prong plug on the bike. I'll take a closer look and be sure things are mated up right and that the grounds are good.
