Remember that you have to loosen the cables before you try to re-install. Just slide the little rubber boot off the cable, loosen it a lot, put the cables in the grip, then re tighten and adjust the cable.
Thank you for the help I knew there was some thing easy I was missing. when I readjust itwhat is the proper procedure ????

I dont have the manual in front of me so this is from memory. I tightened up each one little by little until there was just a little bit of slack in each cable. Do not tighten them to the point where there is not slack.I am sure there is some type of spec. on how much slack there is supposed to be in the manual.Good luck.

Completely colapse the throttle and idle cables. This should give you enough slack to place the ferrels in their respective holes.
Be very careful with the throttle cable (front). Don't stretch it or use anything but you hands to get it in place.
After you have both ferrels in place and the cables are in their grooves on the grip, adjust the throttle cable by turning the throttle cable adjusting nut until at WOT you can hear the efi/carb wheel hit the stop. Now back it off just a hair. You want the throttle grip to hit WOT just before the efi wheel hits WOT. This will avoid stretching the cable. Now tighten the idle cable to any amount of slack you want in the throttle grip.
