I am also thinking about getting a luggage rack for the top of the pak. If I do that I will get a steel plate to put on the inside of the lid to bolt it to.
If you do that let us know where you got it from, they haven't had any for some time on their website

Here is the only pic I have of it right now. (It had been a pretty long and dusty ride-lol)

RE: Mutazu Tourpac Mods
Update on mine....
I had an anoying rattle from the tour pak when it was empty, when I started from a stop.
I took some 1/4" clear tubing from Home Depot, split it so that I could place it over the inside edge on the 2 outside corners. That made for a tighter fit and the rattle went away.....
I hope this helps anyone else with the same type of issue!

Does anyone know if this tour pack would fit on the luggage rack designed for the detachable backrest? I'm talking about PN 53011-98.

I can't see any reason why it wouldn't fit on that rack. \\; Over the years I've seen them mounted on a variety of styles and configurations. \\; Per the website they recommend a minimum rack size of 8" x 8".

Now with that being said I'd push for something a little larger or at the very least take a page from some of the earlier posters and attempt to spread out the stress on the bottom mounts to keep the base from cracking. \\;

I've had my trunk on and off for a few months and have logged well over 3,000 miles with it and it has worked out great!!!
