The HSR42 Easy Kit will stick right on with all the existing cables. You do have to reloacte the throttle and idle cable just a tad but it takes about 15 seconds. Choke cable is the same as well as fuel line hookup. Air cleaner and everything else is also bolt on. I have the SE Filter and there were no issues. Add on Electronic Cruise is possible with the Rivera Engineering Cruise adapter if you ever decide you want HD Electronic Cruise.

There is also a vacuum port for the petcock if you still have the vacuum actuated petcock on there, if not you will need to buy an 1/8" vacuum plug.

The HSR42 comes with a performance jet package installed and a high mileage jet package in the bag. I installed the mileage package and it has plenty of get up and go and is not too lean at all. No spit back experienced with this carb. Also, as I mentioned before that slide is a mechanical flat slide so there is instant response.

You can get that HSR42 Easy kit for less than $250 at places like American Classic which is a pretty good price compared to what others are asking for it. I've seen the same carb as high as $450.

Excellent carb, very, very easy to tune with excellent tuning instructions.

Rev00,
&nbsp\\;
Did you change the e-ring on your jet needle to position #2?&nbsp\\; I left the main jet at #160, changed #25 pilot jet to #20, and changed the accelerator pump nozzle to #50 as suggested in the tuning instructions to get better mileage.
&nbsp\\;
Yeh, I gave up on the Keihin and went to the Mikuni HRS42.

Yes, I went with the mileage kit and followed the exact instructions.&nbsp\\; I then took it out for a read and it looked fine and ran fine.&nbsp\\; Dyno and AFR showed perfect.
